AdaptivEnergy’s RLP® uses an advanced proprietary polyimide bonding process that allows 4 to 10 times more strain to be applied to the ceramic material, creating more loading and more electric power. AdaptivEnergy’s highly automated polyimide process bonds the piezo ceramic material to a stainless steel substrate at high temperature, increasing strength and reliability while minimizing assembly time.
Energy Collection Electronics
AdaptivEnergy’s energy collection electronics allow the RLP® Smart Energy Beam to provide a wireless sensor solution even in mechanically quiet environments by allowing for power buffering over many hours, if necessary.
In addition, AdaptivEnergy has developed electronics which are much more efficient than traditional rectification and capacitor storage architectures.
Sensing Capabilities
The output of an RLP® can be used in a variety of sensing applications such as vibration measurements, air flow measurements, pressure measurements, etc. Thus, the RLP® energy beam is “smart” in that it senses as well as powers in a wireless sensing application.
