Mansfield, Texas, USA – July 14, 2009 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., known for its rapid introduction of the newest products, today announced it has signed a global Distribution agreement with AdaptivEnergy. AdaptivEnergy designs and manufactures energy harvesting power solutions.

Mouser’s stock includes AdaptivEnergy Joule-Thief™ energy harvesting modules and demonstration kits and first-of-its-kind Random Vibration DC Power Supplies. Joule-Thief™ technology scavenges and converts ambient mechanical energy, such as vibration and impact events, into a standard DC voltage output. AdaptivEnergy energy harvesters are renewable, green power supplies that constantly recharge themselves from the environment, unlike ordinary batteries that lose their charge and must be replaced. AdaptivEnergy Joule-Thief™ products are powering a wide variety of low power microcontrollers which are used extensively in wireless and active RFID applications.

Mike Scott, Mouser Vice President of Active Products, states, “We welcome AdaptivEnergy to our linecard of embedded solutions. They offer unique energy harvesting products that allow our engineering customers to create remotely-powered applications that are powered from environmentally available energy sources that have typically been wasted in the past.”

Jim Vogeley, AdaptivEnergy CEO, says, “Mouser provides a quick and easy means of supply to design engineers to test and become familiar with AdaptivEnergy’s exciting new energy harvesting technology. Mouser has a reputation within the industry for being aggressive with stocking and quickly delivering avant-garde technologies.”

Known for its broad-based product line, unsurpassed customer service, and streamlined warehouse operations, Mouser continuously offers customers the most innovative products and latest technologies for their new design projects.
